    Live blogging Jeff Boucher

    By Jeremy | January 29, 2008

Touch the World Ministries Mac Pier on J. Boucher: "The greatest mobilizer of youth missions in the Northeast" Any metro New York strategy must include New Jersey. They work in NYC, but they live and play in the suburbs. Devotional:
"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
    - John 17:13-19 This is more than a prayer for unity. It's a battle strategy. v. 4: Jesus came on a search and rescue mission. We are in spiritual war every day, and there are casualties everyday. The prayer isn't unity for the sake of unity. It's unity to achieve a mission. He doesn't pray for escape ("that He'll take them out of the world"). He prays that we'll find victory. We must never desire to abandon the world, but always desire to win it. We can frustrate the plan by remaining disconnected. We must share information and get on the same page. If we're one body then the world will see him. Unity is the strategy. There are kingdom builders and their are empire builders. Which are you?
