Today's MP3 pays tribute to the Greater New York Pastors Prayer Summit, where I'll join 300 other ministers in a few hours until Wednesday afternoon.
Who knew that a prayer agenda at the 2007 Pastors Prayer Summit would become the "Mooks, Midriffs, Myspace & More: Engaging Plugged-in Youth" workshop that has literally swept the nation in the past year? Between being asked personally to present it at churches, colleges, and conferences dozens of times, and Urban Youth Workers Institute asking me to syndicate the materials as curriculum for the Reload 07-08 tour, it's been presented at least 50 times in the past twelve months. I have also heard numerous reports of youth ministers and pastors downloading the presentation materials and presenting them as well. I firmly believe that the effectual, fervent prayers of 300 pastors last year gave rise to an awakening among ministers and church communities that continues to this day.
