I had the privilege of spending the past weekend at
Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, speaking at their Monday
chapel service and Sunday night at their student-led service, "Foot of the Cross." Much to my delight,
Avon Wesleyan Church, where I spoke last year at a
9/11 commemorative service, welcomed me back for a
sequel at two services Sunday morning. Special thanks to youth Pastor Garrett and his family for entertaining us for lunch after the services.
Chaplain Tom Kilburne hosted me throughout the weekend. You have to be a bit nuts to play defensive end for a D1 college football program at 6'2" and
only 195 lbs, but "PT" did exactly that at Temple University from 1969-1972 (back when Temple was still good). At age 29, Jesus transformed his life from a boozing, philandering ex-jock and he's been trailblazing student ministry ever since. He was fantastic, and his passion for the students is palpable. I especially love his theme for the year: "Anchored. Active. Aligned." Is there a more succinct way to describe that to which every believer should aspire?

Hey Jeremy, it was great seeing you today. Thank you again for speaking – it was definitely a timely message for times like these at NYU! You can check out AACF updates, at http://www.xanga.com/nyu_aacf. Blessings! Jeff
