When Blessings Turn Toxic
By Jeremy | July 14, 2007
"It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD's people Israelâ€â€I will celebrate before the LORD. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor."While Michal's jealous rage left no long-term effects on David, it did consume her ability to birth life. Her epitaph reads:
"And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death."David's interaction with Michal reminds me of Jesus' words:
"I tell you the truth, no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life."Not sure what this all means. Just processing out loud another difficult passage of scripture. Thoughts?

I’m about two months behind on the One Year Bible and I’m reading this stuff right now.
