Judah and I are riding the A-train (the A-rod Train) all the way to phenom
Phil Hughes' first start tonight, courtesy of my new favorite Yankee fan James Pugner.
I met
James in March at Willow Creek's
Shift conference in Illinois. He's a transplanted New Yorker ministering to youth in -- of all places -- Red Sox Nation ("
where sin abounds...") at
North River Community Church. He found out we share a love of all things Yankee-related, and offered to send me unused season tickets. The best part -- he remembered! I got a text message from him yesterday about tonight's game, so Judah and I are off to our first game of the season. Making it extra special, tonight marks the beginning of the Phil Hughes era.
Richie attended A-Rod's walk-off Grand Slam game; James was present for A-Rod's walk-off 3-run HR; and
John Liotti was in Oakland for Giambi's extra-inning heroics. Tonight, Judah and I witness history.
