Militant atheists challenge teens to deny the existence of God -- and post their "blasphemy" on YouTube -- and
Nightline's got the story covered. Nightline should have given Paul de Vries of
NY Divinity School more time. He's the real deal, thoughtful and well spoken. I would have loved to hear more of his rebuttal.
UPDATE
02/01 - Time to scour YouTube for the NFL exec who took the blasphemy challenge. How else to explain this --
NFL won't let church show game -- especially since the Super Bowl features two head coaches known as much for their faith as for their on-field success?
"It just frustrates me that most of the places where crowds are going to gather to watch this game are going to be places that are filled with alcohol and other things that are inappropriate for children," Newland said. "We tried to provide an alternative to that and were shut down."

Hey J. I just saw the video article on ABC and saw the man who runs the Blasphemychallenge. I know that in this country we have a right to an opinion and its great to have one. Infact, if the gentleman feels this way then he is free to express that. However, as I listened to him explain his thesis for his reasoning I realized that he is a walking contridiction with another agenda in mind. His methods are exactly what he considers wrong. He says religion indoctrinates young people but he is targeting teenage websites – probably illegally because most of those sites have a age sensitivity linked to it – but again he is teaching young people to not believe in God which he says is wrong.
As this story unfolds I feel we will see what is really behind his story. He mentioned he wouldn’t have a problem with a debate – that would be nice to see.
