I came to Florida a day early to spend some time with my Del Rio family. At
Abuelo's funeral this summer, I met dozens of relatives for the first time. All four of my grandfather's surviving brothers live in Florida, with three of them in Orlando, along with many of their children and Abuelo's wife Mary. I'm staying with Abuelo's brother Uncle Isaac and his wife Odette, and today they hosted 19 aunts and uncles and cousins for a feast: Uncle Abel and his wife Migdalia, their sons Danny and Abel Jr., Abel Jr.'s wife Marta and their children Benjamin and Sabrina; Uncle Eladio and his wife Sally, their son John and his wife Elise; Uncle Isaac's sons Walter and Ruben, Odette's daughter Esley, Walter's wife Margie, and their kids Andy and Bianca. Twelve of them I met today for the first time. Earlier we attended the church Uncle Abel pastors, Iglesia Tabernaculo de la Fe. Tomorrow Uncle Isaac and I will be meeting Mary for lunch. Thanks to all for making me feel so welcome.
Unbelievably, I left my camera in New York! Esly promised to email me her pictures.

Sounds like fun! I was just in the Orlando area with my family last week…
