    What to make of this?

    By Jeremy | July 24, 2006

New York is ranked #10 on Money magazine's list of "Best Big Cities to Live." Funny thing is, the next biggest city had a population of 1.255 million (San Diego), and all the others on the list were between 341,000 (Raleigh, NC) and 730,700 (Columbus, OH). New York's population: 8,143,200. I struggle to call a community of 340,000 people a "Big City" when my community district plus the two adjacent to it are home to more than 410,000.
