Bittersweet
By Jeremy | July 6, 2006
My parents, Judah and I returned from Puerto Rico this morning. What a bittersweet experience. I'll reflect more later, but for now more links and a few early observations.
Photosets:
I'm related to everyone in this picture.
Puerto Rico 2006 (76 photos, and growing, from both trips to PR in the last month)
Don't try this at home!
Abuelo (62 photos of grandpa's life, including 7 or 8 new pics)
Multimedia:
Early observations:
I'm more proud than ever to be a Del Rio.
Grandpa left behind a rich legacy, most importantly six wonderful children who love God, family, and people passionately.
The Del Rio clan is a multiethnic bunch.
Judah loves Stephanie and charms even non-English speakers like Suje.
Leading a devotional an hour before burying a loved one feels wierd.
Flight delays on overnight air travel are harder on one's body than regular airtravel.
Sitting next to a midair crime scene makes sleep illusive, and waiting to deplane while police investigate feels awkward.
