Wow. The expressions of support and prayer in response to last week’s “
We need a miracle†post, as well as some targeted emails, have been overwhelming (although uplifting might be a better descriptor). This post is a quick update to thank you all for the encouragement and prayers, and also share briefly some of the testimonies from the last week.
First, we experienced a
financial miracle when one of our funders decided to accelerate the final disbursement on a three-year grant, which we received on Monday. This gives us 6-8 weeks to breathe.
Second, opportunities for ministry continue to open. Just this week, I received two invitations to serve on advisory committees of major national ministries, along with inquiries about possible collaborations from several others. I’m not sure what any of this might mean financially, but the conversations themselves are encouraging.
Third, God has impressed on me anew (and confirmed by many of you) the need to create for-profit revenue streams out of the gifts and talents he has given the Xcel family. This is not a new revelation or desire, but it has moved to the front of the line of possibilities for action, along with a roadmap for execution.
As a follow-up prayer point, please pray for investors who would be willing to provide seed capital for the marketplace efforts of Generation Xcel. If this sounds a bit cryptic, but you’re interested in hearing more, please do not hesitate to call or email me!
