Fuller Youth Institute: Apply Today
By Jeremy | September 15, 2009
I have the privilege of serving as an adjunct faculty member of Fuller Seminary as an instructor with the Fuller Youth Institute. We are accepting applications for FYI’s Urban Ministry Certificate through November 20.
Below is a note from FYI’s director, Kara Powell.
Here at the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI), we are getting more and more excited about the interest and applications we’re receiving for our next Urban Youth Ministry Certificate cohort, set to begin in March 2010. As a faculty member, you are a part of the impact of the program!
To hear about the impact of the certificate, check out these short videos of Lina and a student.
Applications are due November 20—that’s just over two months away! Prospective students will find all of the details, as well as links to the application, online.
We offer a 50% scholarship to each student, so each youth worker gets thousands of dollars’ worth of training at a fraction of the cost.
I’d like to close by letting one of our youth workers speak about the impact of this training:
“The impact of this program upon me has been significant. I was challenged to understand the value of building networks and since learning this, God has opened up numerous doors for me to connect with city officials, neighboring ministries, local non-profit organizations and schools that I would never have pursued before this program. I’m only beginning to see the “ripple effect” that these new relationships are having on our ministry…”
