    Emergency Prayer Request

    By Jeremy | June 8, 2008

I just received this email from my friend and Coalition member, Don Dore of Rock the Sound. Please join us in praying for his brother who broke his neck yesterday after a freak accident at what should have been a joyous occasion for his family.

… [My nephew] Josiah … was asked to throw out the first pitch at the Red Sox Saturday afternoon game. … After [he] threw the pitch, the family stayed to watch a game. It was very hot there, and my brother Dan fainted from heat exaustion / sun stroke… or something. He’s the tallest of my brothers (and they are pretty tall), and when he fell, he went down hard and hit his head. His neck broke in 2 places. They rushed him to a hospital in Boston (I’m shaken so I forgot to ask which one) and they operated on him early this morning, and inserted some metal pits, etc, and worked to piece the bones together again. They say it will take 3 months recovery time, and obviously aren’t saying when he can be expected to return home yet. …

Please join with me in prayer that my brother Dan (age 52) recovers miraculously, and his family is protected and that any insurance, etc… will be able to carry them through in this time of need. If you can please forward this to others that would help an join in these prayers, I would greatly appreciate it.
