Extreme Makeover Home Edition Meets Urban Promise
By Jeremy | August 1, 2007
The Carrasco Clan are East Siders this week, visiting Kafi’s family in Brooklyn. They invited me to join them for BBQ last night (Diana and Judah are returning from Massachusetts tonight), with Grandma Muslimah once again preparing quite a feast.

Rudy made a day trip today to speak at Urban Promise in Camden, NJ … and he stumbled upon 500+ volunteers who are helping Extreme Makeover Home Edition build a home on UP’s property for a family from their ministry. The EMHE producers contacted Urban Promise after seeing the family profiled on 20/20 back in January. They surprised the family on July 29 with a week-long vacation and the promise of a new home when they return on August 5. Follow the EMHE progress this week on the Urban Promise blog.
