Virus help for … Macs?!?!?!?
By Jeremy | March 27, 2007
I bought a Macbook (in part) because Macs are supposed to be immune from viruses. Yet this week, my Mac has been creating Word documents that Gmail keeps flagging as being infected with the W97M.Thus.A worm/virus. Any tips for how to resolve this issue?

Sorry, a little more detail. It appears to affect docs with macros enabled. Disabling macros is always a good idea, regardless of the computer. My guess (I quickly perused the article) would be that your computer will be fine, but you should be careful in forwarding them (eg, using gmail!) to Windows users.

yes, always disable macros.. in Word. An old Mac secret going back to even pre OS X days.
